A Manifesto for making things worse…

How can we make things worse?
How can we make things worse?

Social isolation and loneliness in Greater Manchester can cause high levels of emotional distress. Without early support and intervention, this can cause people’s health to deteriorate and require intensive longer-term support.

In May 2015, we hosted an event at Martin Harris Centre bringing together community organisations, arts organisations and researchers from the University of Manchester, to explore ways to make social isolation worse. Yes – worse!

Next steps?

The workshop was facilitated by Simon from TIPP and moments were captured by artist, Paul Gent.

Now, we hope to support up to four pilots to make things better.
